In order to offer better service to you we have developed some software that you can download now and use to make up Qwiktext disks for use in your TAB outlet.

Please note that this software will not suit a 'TABView' system or a Qwiktext Touch system as the software differs on those systems to the stand alone Qwiktext units.

This software is free to use on systems running a teletext processor board supplied by Pelican Electronic Developments only. We retain all rights to this software, it is not Freeware or public domain, it is strictly licensed software for use with proprietary systems by us and our subsidiaries. Please read the licensing information at the bottom of the page that follows before downloading or using this software.

PLEASE SEE THE DIAGRAM AT THE BOTTOM TO DETERMINE WHICH VERSION OF THIS SOFTWARE YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD

If you have an older Version 1.0 or 2.0 Qwiktext (Unitext) Board please click HERE to download the disk maker (2,075,661 bytes).

If you have a newer Version 3.0 Qwiktext (Unitext) Board please click HERE to download the disk maker (2,075,661 bytes).

To Install:

• Read the license information at the bottom of this page.
  
• Click the correct link above to download the correct Disk Maker for your version of Qwiktext and note where on your hard drive it is saved.
  
• Find and run the downloaded program.
• Place a clean formatted floppy disk into drive A: of your machine, making sure the write protect tab is closed so that you cannot see through the hole.
• Click the 'Create a Qwiktext Floppy' button and watch the progress until it finishes successfully.
  
• Remove the floppy disk from your drive and install it into your Qwiktext machine and boot it up.
  
• Press the following keys to begin auto-tuning, [F1][9][8][7][F4][6][1] and wait for the process to complete.
• Once the channel is found press [8][8][8] and see if the time is now updating and pages building.
• If no pages come in and the time does not appear after some time on the F1 menu then you will need to enter a manual Megahertz frequency supplied by your audio visual technician by entering after the following keystrokes: [F1][9][8][7][F4][6][3].

  Indentifying which board you have

  Please look at the following diagram and the board you have to see which looks most like it. Each version has different connectors making it easy to identify the connectors that pertrude from the back of your computer when the board is installed.

does not grant you any right to use this software. This license extends
